Patty Jo Callahan

Patty Jo Callahan was born July 2, 1946 in Holdenville Oklahoma to Joe and Faye (Parker) Throckmorton and left this earth on Thursday September 16, 2021 at the age of 75.

Patty (Pat) was a resident of the Watonga community for 14 years where she retired from being a Licensed Practical Nurse. She attended Holdenville High School where she graduated in 1964. She was a member of the Watonga Women’s Hospital Auxiliary and the First Baptist Church. She was married to Jerry Callahan in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma on October 22,1969. Patty aka Nanny Pat’s hobbies included fishing, hunting, canning cooking and spending time with all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She attended as many football, baseball, wrestling and softball games as she could. She also enjoyed making homemade lunches for her grandchildren and even some that weren’t hers! Pat enjoyed volunteering with the local blood drives, Hospital Auxiliary bake sales and hamburger fry’s.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband Jerry, brothers Tommy Davis Sr, Jerry Hignite and one infant brother.

She is survived by one son: Robby Callahan and wife Angela of Seminole Ok. Two daughters: Kristi Rinehart and husband Neal of Watonga, and Kelly Callahan also of Watonga. One brother Jim Hignite of Oklahoma City, along with several nieces and nephews. Pat has 7 grandchildren: Joshua Callahan, Caleb and wife Kelsey Callahan, Harley Callahan, Kagan Rinehart, Joseph Rinehart, Josey Rinehart and Morgan Miller. 7 great grandchildren: Isabella and Jaden Callahan, Logan, Kinley and Jace Callahan and Nena and Remington Wright.
