Judith Anne Haight
Judith Anne Haight was born March 5, 1941, in Watonga, OK to Dean and Bessie McPherson and passed away January 12, 2025, at the age of 83. She was a lifelong resident of Watonga where she was a Watonga Public School Secretary until her retirement. Judy attended Watonga High School and graduated in 1959. Judy was a fourth-generation lifelong member of the First Christian Church of Watonga. Judy met the love of her life, Neil Haight while attending school in Watonga. On March 13, 1959, the two secretly traveled to El Reno and married at the Canadian County courthouse, thinking that they could keep their decision secret from their parents until after graduation. Their plan was foiled when the local paper published the legal notice of the nuptials a few days later. The following year, Neil and Judy welcomed their first daughter, Tammi, followed two years later by their second daughter, Lori. Judy and Neil were promoted to Granny and Pa with the birth of her first grandchild Scott. Granny and Pa dedicated their lives to their grandchildren, attending every sporting event and activity possible. They were truly their grandchildren's biggest fans. This extended on to the next generation of great grandchildren as well. Granny and Pa were known to host "cousins camp" to give all the great-grandchildren time together.Â
Judy is preceded in death by her husband, Neil, parents Dean and Bessie McPherson, brother, Bob McPherson, and great-grandson Kale Bruecks.Â
She is survived by her two daughters Tammi Taylor and fiancé Roy Streck of Watonga and Lori Park and husband Greg of Calumet. Six grandchildren: Scott Taylor and wife Audra of Cisco, TX, Chad Park and wife Monica of Calumet, Amy Yelle and husband Dave of Weatherford, TX, Aubrey Gorman of Calumet, Seth Park and wife Christa of Calumet, and Andrew Park and partner Nakayla of Elgin. Nine great-grandchildren: Ethan Taylor, Cooper Park and partner Mackenna, Lexie Taylor, Elly Yelle, Alice Anne Park, Asher Bruecks, Luke Yelle, Lilah Bruecks, and Rylan Park and one great-great grandson, Colter Park. Judy is also survived by her beloved four-legged companion, Rudy.Â
Funeral services for Judy will be held Saturday the 18th of January 2025 at 10:00 am at the First Christian Church of Watonga with Pastor Adam Lovitt officiating. Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery under the care of Wilkinson Mortuary.Â
